Why is a wedding video valuable?
So what does make a wedding video valuable? Is a wedding video even considered valuable?
Well the answer to the second question is NO. How can I say that? The official Creator of our famous hilton head wedding videos. Well I say NO, not because of what I think but because of the order we fall under on the vendors list. The wedding videographer is almost always the last vendor a Bride hires. If there is money left over, they think about video.
This is beginning to change though. As brides become more aware of high quality, artistic, cinematic, and truly documentary style wedding videos that look like they were produced in Hollywood. The kind of videos Coastal Wedding Films produce.
The answer to the first question is really where the meat to this post lies.
Its the Story! “The Story”, you say.
Everyone has a story. Short, long, sad, happy, exciting, etc. We all have different experiences in our life that create our story. And our stories are made up of our memories and our memories are what defines who we are. So by every moment in our life we choose not to document, a piece of our story dies. Think about during the colonial days. Would we know who George Washington was if his life was not documented? How cool would it be to see a video of the first inauguration?
How cool would it be to see, hear, and experience the wedding celebration of your Great, Great, Grandparents? Now you see what I am talking about.
If Brides are keeping video at the bottom of the vendors list it is only because they have scene a “Professional Video” that looked horrible or heard a horror story from a friend. They are not thinking about why it is valuable. I have had friends tell me there video is terrible but they are glad they at least have that.
So don’t fade away with your memories. Pass them on with the rest of your legacy!
